Attorney Kai-Cheng Lo focused on “economic crime” or “white-collar crime” when he was studying for a master’s degree at the Department of Law, Fu Jen Catholic University. Upon licensed to practice law, Attorney Kai-Cheng Lo primarily handles cases related to the Securities Exchange Act, including insider trading, stock price manipulation, breaches of business regulations, securities fraud, special breach of trust, and cases relevant to the Anti-Corruption Act, such as offenses of malfeasance in office, bribery, profiteering, as well as cases involving the Government Procurement Act, the Banking Act, and the Trade Secrets Act. Hence, he has accumulated rich practical experience in criminal defense procedures such as cross-examination and protecting the defendant’s right against litigation.
After practicing law and sensing the increasing changes in both domestic and international legal landscapes, Attorney Kai-Cheng Lo determined to pursue further education at Widener University, the United States in 2007, where he later obtained a Master of Laws degree. After returning to Taiwan in 2008, due to his substantial practical experience in trade secret cases, he had been appointed as an Assistant Professor-Level Expert and Industry Mentor at the Graduate Institute of Patent,
National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. He teaches practical and managerial aspects of the Trade Secret Act. Additionally, his research on emerging issues such as legal protection for people with dementia and the Long-Term Care Services Act led to his appointment as a lecturer for caregiver training programs at the Lo-Sheng Sanatorium, Ministry of Health and Welfare. Furthermore, he was appointed as a lecturer for the “Dementia-Friendly Community Project” by the Department of Public Health, Taoyuan City Government. In both realms of practice and academia, he has demonstrated a professional, diligent, and responsible attitude, to be highly trusted by clients.
It is Attorney Kai-Cheng Lo’s belief that pursuing the interests of the parties involved and achieving fairness and justice in cases are the goals and directions we must strive for.
