Attorney Chiaying Lin has over 20 years of experience assisting both domestic and international clients with intellectual property matters. She also possesses extensive expertise in reviewing Chinese and English contracts related to licensing, publishing, agency, distribution, advertising, and other transactions in the film, television, music, and gaming industries. Throughout her career as corporate legal counsel, she has consistently earned the trust and confidence of her clients.
She has been invited on numerous occasions to lecture on Trademark Law and Fair Trade Law at the TIPA Intellectual Property Training Academy, and frequently delivers lectures on intellectual property topics at universities and corporate organizations. In 2022, she launched an online course titled “Master Copyright in Ten Minutes”, and served as an adjunct lecturer at the Graduate Institute of Technology Law, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, teaching Seminar in Trademark Law.
In addition, Attorney Lin has authored eight specialized books on intellectual property law: Winning Strategies for Trademark Litigation, Winning Strategies for Copyright Litigation, Winning Strategies for Trade Secret Litigation, Winning Strategies for Unfair Competition Litigation in Intellectual Property, Intellectual Property Protection for Design Products, Fashion Law, Entertainment Law, and The Japanese Entertainment Industry and Law — with an Analysis of Taiwan’s Entertainment Law.
Notably, Entertainment Law and Fashion Law are recognized as the first legal monographs in Taiwan dedicated to the film, television, music, entertainment, and fashion industries. In addition to her monographs, she remains actively engaged in academic conferences and regularly publishes in professional law journals on emerging topics such as music copyright, video games, well-known trademarks, personal data and artificial intelligence.
